subdivision of capital markets
Hi WSO-members!
I am doing a subdivision of the capital markets and could need your help.
The primary divisions of the capital markets as I see them are:
FICC (Fixed Icome, Currencies, Commodities)
Equities
IBD (Investment Banking Division)
with the subdivisions:
FICC: Rates, Currencies, Securitization, Currencies, Commodities
Equities: Cash Equities, Equitiy Derivatives, Prime Services
IBD: Equitiy Capital Markets (ECM), Debt Capital Marktes (DCM), M&A-Advisory
Especially the first two points are to be divided further.
Therefore I need three definitions:
- cash (not meant as money but as in "cash equities"): Does "cash" mean you simply buy the product, no derivative or further complications? That would mean that "cash" is simply the opposite of "derivative"
- Structured
- flow
If someone has already a great subdivision of capital markets, I would be greatful for that as well ;)
I'm also happy with recommended sources or notes of other topics of WSO.
Hope you can help me
Joe
