When does FT recruiting start 2025?

Hey I am SA in a MM IB shop in houstn. Looking to see what's opening up for FT for 2025 but job postings seem dry. Any info on this? I am about to be a senior, non-target state school. Any help is appreciated!

Went through the process last summer and got advice as follows:

  • Your number one priority is to secure the return offer from your internship (will be an uphill battle when competing with candidates with returns)
  • Spend June to focus used to the work – it is important to make notes of what you've worked on and how you've contributed in your team (will be useful for interviews). You will also get a subtle idea of whether you will be receiving return offer by end of June based on feedback
  • In July (probably after July 4th), start networking with firms you are interested in. Obviously don't compromise your internship work, but take calls during your downtime
  • First week of August, start following up with your contacts that you are interested in applying if there is a position open (be patient because this is an uncertain time for firms as well as they are getting back their responses from current interns) Timing will wary but usually processes happen mid-August

Edit: Don't wait till postings show up on Linkedin or Handshake. You need to be proactive with networking because most of FT recruiting will be informal and the postings are usually for admin purposes.
