Where are you investing your money?
Thoughts on where to park your bonus? I'll be a first year IB analyst and just thinking about how I will invest my savings and bonus.
I like real estate and leveraged ETFs but any input is appreciated. Thanks!

NFLX, buy the dip
Buy $10k (max allowed) of series i bonds. Good diversification from equities and they're paying 9.62% risk-free right now (rate adjusts every 6 months). Only downside is you have to hold them for 5 years or you forfeit 3 months of interest.
Put the rest in some combination of ETFs that you like. Leveraged ETFs are an okay option if you plan on holding longterm and can stomach the volatility.
Just wanted to follow up on this. I have been treating I-Bonds as a emergency savings account. Minimum hold time is one year which means although there is a 3 month interest penalty, your money will always be inflation protected + can grow slightly. Better then a .8% interest rate from a high yield at the moment.
That's a good point. Basically a better alternative to a high-yield savings account or a CD at the moment.
Where can I buy these? What's the ticker name? Don't see it on Merrill.
