2024-2025 E&P Comp/WLB

There was a forum from September of 2024 that talked high level what being an allocator is with some basic comp discussion, but there hasn't been any updated WLB/Pros+Cons on going from the sell-side to an allocator (there was an older thread that I'll link below from 3yrs ago that did something similar). Seeing how saturated WSO is on covering IB/PE/ER/HF, allocators seem to be drawing some more attention over being in an "investment" position while offering much better WLB. I figured it would be good to bring this up again with ~hopefully~ new data on being an Analyst/Associate within an Endowment/Pension Fund.

Anyone that went from Sell-Side (IB/ER/anything) to E&P or started out in E&P, please add any discussion on what the comp progression is, the usual hours/breakdown of how you spend it, and just a small pros/cons of the job.
