2024 Video Game IB
I’ve seen posts from 2021 but I want to get an updated perspective on what groups to reach out to and learn more.
Would love some insight on where you guys think the industry is heading with things stabilizing and returning back to normalcy after the whole COVID era.

super dead. if you want to work in/around video games then you're way better off working at a product team in a tech company. no video game group is hiring.
I know someone who went from IB -> global app dev product team (mobile video games) for Google. Without being directly in the video game industry that's about as close as you can get.

some of the LT gaming/investing ppl left and created their own firm goodgame advisors, not sure if they're on any deals yet though

The whole gaming team left liontree and founded goodgame advisors. Looks like the same team is still at griffin gaming doing gaming VC as well.
