Walking the High Line is nice, 9/11 memorial, walking down 5th Ave and Chelsea area. Head to brooklyn for a meal or two, walk the brooklyn bridge.
MOMA or MET if they are open, you should go up to the Edge in hudson yards (100 floor balcony deck)
I would honestly not prep. If IB is gona be brutal, enjoy your free time when you can. What I do suggest is once you hit the desk post training it will be slow (they will slowllly ramp you up) and take that time to learn extra excel shortcuts or go over modeling videos, etc to make your life easier. Don’t worry about prep before

Maybe try to connect w/ someone you know in the city for drinks (or could even grab coffee with someone who interviewed you or something)
