3rd Year Canadian Student Looking to Break into Houston IB

I'm looking for some advice for landing Energy IB in Houston. Grew up there for 5 years and Dad works there for an oil company (not finance-related). Spent the last summer working in corporate development (mostly M&A models and decks) for a publicly traded renewable infrastructure company in Canada. Have a couple of connections and looking to network to build more. Come from a Canadian target school with a 3.8/4.0 GPA.

Advice on firms, starting points, networking, and whatever else may be helpful.

Also heading down soon to network in person.

Thanks in advance
