Advice how to break into investing banking?
Hi everyone,
I am a senior at a top undergraduate business program at a top business school. I interned this past summer at a PE megafund in a strategy role. I recently realized I think it may be more beneficial for me to pursue a career in investing than in a strategy capacity because I feel my options are more limited. I potentially want to start in IB. Any advice on how to find an investing role off cycle, or would it make sense to begin in the strategy role and look at investment roles in my first few months? I was thinking of maybe even applying to 2024 roles and saying on my resume that I am graduating in December 2023. Thanks for the help!
This post is a disaster.
My advice is to have a relative in a senior role at whatever type of institution you're looking for (I'm not positive what investing banking is) - your only option might be to cousin Greg your way in.
you're a real helpful guy. Thanks!
"investing banking" 😭😭😭
Sir please who is your father? Are they looking into any more sons, because it does not seem you got this internship with your smarts.
