Advice in timing

Hello everyone-

I am hoping to do a SA in Europe at a BB. I'm skipping a lot of info, but in fall 2013 I was introduced to a MD at a bb over there through a connection... I made a trip over there, and he arranged that I meet an associate informally for lunch. It was a good time and friendly meeting. After that I submitted app online officially to hr ( apparently everything is done through formal routes there) the associate said hr does initial selections, etc.

So here it is march already, hr has been very slow. I have called myself some times and continued "bugging" the associate I met with questions. HR definitely knows who I am now, as they said I have been very persistent but they were nice about it( not annoyed ).

A couple of weeks ago hR finally sent me the online numerical test, and I think I may have done decently on it, although it was hard. Got an email saying that app would be reviewed further..

Anyway, I've never seen an hR that acts this slowly.... I recently got back in touch with MD and he got back saying glad you are making progress and still interested and to get back in touch with the asosciate regarding what needs to be done. The problem is , the asosciate tells me to wait for word from HR.

I was hoping to make a trip at the end of the month, but if HR is this slow, they might not get back to me before then . How should I go about this? Should I call hr again and see if they could speed up process or email the MD with this info?

Any advice appreciated. Thanks

To be honest, I would move on before the summer starts! It seems that maybe they are trying to let you down easy. I would not bother them anymore and see what happens with other opportunities. If they call you back great, but if not what will you do? That's the mindset you need to have now.
