Advice Needed: How to transfer groups within IB
Hi IB community,
I am currently an intern at a BB (Think GS/JP/MS), working in a product group. Overall, the internship has been great! I love my coworkers, and the senior level people are super helpful. Why would I want to leave this group? Everything has been incredible except for one thing: The product we cover is Swiffer Wet Jets, and I fucking HATE Swiffer. My whole life I have had a divine interest in Flex Seal products, and want to make the switch to that Product Group. Phil Swift, is a god and someone I've looked up to for a very long time. For those of you peons who do not know who Phil Swift is, he is the legendary brain behind Flex Seal. Does anyone have any advice on how to make the switch? I cant stand Swiffer for another week and need to switch. Thanks in advance!
I would say your best chance is just change groups without telling anyone. I kind of did that with my job in NYC where I was able to walk into an firm and started to work and now I work there.
I also agree Phil Swift is a god and everyone needs a bottle of Flex Seal
