Advice on getting caught up to speed - Liberal arts background

I graduated from a liberal arts college with a humanities background. Didn't intern in IB and I am going into a sweaty/technical group. I don't have too much experience in Ppt or excel. Any advice?

Have you already gone through training? I would take advantage of that time to really buckle down and try to get up to speed as best as possible. Training the Street does a good job of covering important technical material. It will be a ton of foreign material but it will be among the least busiest times of your analyst stint so you should take advantage of it. Otherwise, don’t worry too much. You’ll steadily ramp up over the years.

Yes, I understand modeling conceptually and have been following TTS but I am a bit slow on excel. I appreciate the advice. Any advice for poweproint?
