Advice on International PCA and Merchant Banking

Hey everyone! I'm reaching out for some guidance on breaking into private capital advisory and/or merchant banking at boutique firms. I'm really interested in the investment advisory services of these two areas and the possibility of international work across global financial hubs.

A bit about me: I'm currently a first year portfolio analytics analyst for a reputable PE fintech firm in NYC and also graduated from a T-20 university last year.

I'd appreciate advice towards the best networking techniques and recommended skills/interview preparation to reach this goal. Thanks!
