I’m a MSF student. I am certainly having trouble finding opportunities and it seems like it’s really not looking good for my chances. I am honestly open to boutiques in the nyc and clt areas with smaller deals. It seems like off cycle is my only shot. Does anyone have any advice for places to look into?

Just keep shooting at banks that haven’t recruited yet only option, network you really have to know someone
Time to look for valuations/TAS roles, then hope to lateral into IB after 1-2 years.
Please don't give up. There are opportunities out there. Believe in yourself!

what makes you say that compared to 2021 ft during covid, or 24 ft?
lateral market was top then, 24 FT was more robust I had folks leveraging offers from MM ATL to WF NYC, 5 ppl from lower BB to top 3 BB, guys with no RO getting offers at EBs none of that happened this cycle
Every class thinks this way but its not. There are some years where the economy is straight booming so banks expand class but most years its relatively the same
Will a rate cut increase hiring?
