Am I fucked, as a diversity candidate, if I missed the diversity program deadlines?

As in, if a firm had a women's insight day or something but I missed the deadline, would firms look badly on me applying in the general round? Sorry if this is a dumb question, it's so stupid I even have to wonder this. I'm just worried that the firms that did offer those programs will look at my application and wonder "oh why didn't she apply to xyz program earlier then, must not be serious about this," and discount my application, because I've heard that from certain people IRL.

I'm female asian, (have the gay card too but not like they have programs for that other than O4U, afaik), class of 2028, target school. I've been doing my best to catch up on interview and technical prep, currently interned at a somewhat questionable firm doing "ib" work, and networking (have gone through most hs alumni on linkedin, got like 10 cc out of that, moving onto college & cold emailing now)

I trust myself, and I trust that I'm gonna be able to get the skills down. The only thing is I just keep feeling like I started too late since I only really locked in on IB this September, and so missed a lot of those earlier opportunities. Might sound bad, but I'm almost glad that a lot of firms got rid of their DEI programs this year because that means I'm applying just like anyone else and not behind just because I locked in on this career later than others.

Would appreciate any thoughts.

...That's literally what I said I'd like to do?

As I said, "I'm just worried that the firms that did offer those programs will look at my application and wonder "oh why didn't she apply to xyz program earlier then, must not be serious about this," and discount my application."

I'm not worried about my own merit, but rather that not participating in bs dei programs is gonna reflect badly.

You’re bugging. Biggest L here is actually just not leveraging diversity
