AmplifyME Finance Accelerator?
Anyone been involved with the AmplifyME program?
They hosted a virtual event which the FIC club at my school (non-target) promoted, so I joined. Did a sales & trading simulation for a couple hours. Was kind of interesting but by the end I thought it was a waste of time since it was clear this was all a marketing ploy to get you to pay anywhere from hundreds to thousands of $$$ for some kind of mentorship/training service that's supposed to help you get a job in finance.
But they just sent me an email notifying me that they identified me as a "High Potential Candidate (HPC)". Gave me a discount code to join their Global Markets Academy program for free (would've costed me $400), and their email states that I can be fast-tracked directly to interview with their partner firms for an internship opportunity.
Wanted to know other ppl's experiences with this, if the whole HPC thing is just an extension of their marketing efforts to try and get you to make a purchase, or if this is a legit opportunity.
I'm still pursuing it until the point where it no longer seems legit - just wanted ppl's thoughts on it.

I also received this email! The company seems legit enough. I read an article where some candidates from this program were pipelined into MS, though I dont have any expectations

If it is free and not impacting anything else don’t see what you have to lose.
My guess is that they will try market main programme more aggressively to you and potentially ask for payment for a certificate if they’re really pushing it.
Also, worth noting that if you write on a CV make sure to put it was free. An associate once mentioned to me they liked asking people qs around it (which I thought was weird of them but useful to know)

I don't really know what to make of this... I have a 2023 offer for markets at a nonbulge bracket that expires this week. I don't know if it's worth it to take the risk here
as someone who does not have an offer yet - i wouldnt. but i also dont have much exp with these things so IDK.
