Analyst 1 bonus

Have any first years have an idea of bonus or even senior level folks have an idea on percentage of base for bonus? Have an opportunity lined up with much better hours and more aligned to my interests lined up and they want me to start next month as opposed to August. Part of me wants to stick it out for the bonus but wondering if it’s worth. Opportunity at a base level is similar to what I’m getting paid now but will be taking a pay cut.

Bonuses will suck this year. I would move for the opportunity if it’s truly what you want. Don’t stick around for a likely disappointing bonus

Take the opportunity. Figure out what analyst 1 got at your firm last year (should be easy after asking around) multiply by 50% for expected bonus. Also if base salary is the same or higher, that means on a biweekly basis you’re not gonna feel like you’re earning any less - you just miss that once a year cash (and happiness) inflow.

I don't think analyst bonus will be down an additional 50% from last year. Depends how much you like this offer but I lean towards saying 4 months is not a long time

I would consider two things - 1) how much do you want out of banking, will the additional ~4 months be a crunch? and 2) how unique is this offer, once you have bonus in hand will you be able to find a similar job?
