Any chance of reviving the Golden Era?

As I started delving into the world of finance, I have noticed how the industry, since the GFC, is gradually becoming less prestigious, poorer, very woke, nerdy and lame. - Enough said, this forum is too woke for adding substantial details. - Not to mention the arrive of AI.

To all of you, I am seeking predictions about what this sector will be like in the short (5 yr) and long (20 yr) term.

More precisely: any chance of reviving the golden era?

Although this option may seem remote, will it be possible to work within your ecosystem and avoid adapting to the way the industry is evolving (devolving) without facing major issues?

Hoping for a memorable comeback, ultimately, all phenomena are cyclical.
