Also received IB phone interviews, how have you guys been reaching out to your contacts when it comes time to submitting the application? As in how do you go about letting them know you've applied

When it comes to applications, I've found them to be more of a formality. I had interviews at 5 banks and none were because of the application. In fact, I recently accepted an offer at a bank and filled out the application after I signed the offer.

Every interview I got, whether it was first round or superday, was because of my own personal networking/alumni network at my school.

For reference, I go to a Big Ten school in the Midwest that isn't a target school.

I've had the same experience. I have had interviews at 3 banks, and have 2 BB phone interviews coming up, all of which have been the result of networking. Come to think of it, I don't think I have submitted apps to 2-3 of the banks I have been speaking with. Non-target recruiting generally occurs earlier than target, and it seems as if most banks are already to the super-day point in their recruiting process, with phone screenings occurring in November.

Now this is all for IBD, not entirely sure if the timeline is different for ECM/DCM, but if I were you I'd reach out to any contacts I have made for updates in the process, and if you don't have any, try to reach out to HR.

As mentioned by Bateman, also a Big Ten student that is by no means a target school.

Best of luck.
