Anyone know of any summer opportunities in the greater Philly area?
I've contacted most of the firms in the boutique thread/database for Philly and haven't gotten any positive responses yet - anybody have any leads they may have passed up and don't mind sharing? I don't really have the financial means to work for free (essentially did that last summer at a boutique in NY).

Plenty of options in Philly.
All of the BBs for the most part are represented in center city and have internship opportunities. It depends the bank, but typically the only opportunities are in Institutional Equity Sales, Asset Management, or PWM.
If your specifically looking only for an investment banking internship, then check out all the boutiques and MM firms in the city and in Conshohocken (~20 mins outside city). I know there are some MMs like Stifel Nicolaus and George K. Baum in Conshi and others like Duff & Phelps in center city.
If you're interested in trading, then SIG is one of the top prop shops in the world and their headquarters is conveniently located in the suburbs (Bala Cynwyd)
There are also lots of well respected investment management firms with offices in the city and surrounding area like BlackRock and Vanguard (who is based out of Malvern).
Janney is a big player.. Might be too late this summer, but plant some seeds with alums in the area. Almost guaranteed there has to be some presence in Philly
