Apollo Analyst Program - IU Kelley?
Incoming SA 25 analyst at a top RX group. Saw 3-4 kids from IU Kelley go to Apollo FIG PE (analyst program) full time after interning in RX IB.
How is this done and how do I do the same (I’m at Stern/Ross for reference).
It’s the “FIG & Strategy” group. Not buyout, still interesting but not sure worth it over banking in many cases.
I’ve heard that it is a much better opportunity than any banking group because you invest across so many asset classes (traditional PE, hybrid value, insurance, etc) and exits crazy well.
Wondering how the IU Kelley kids got it tho. Do you think I should network with the group now for FT recruiting this upcoming summer?
Its done through HHs. Not something you could rlly network in.
Head of Global FIG at Apollo is IU Alum. Not really and investing role for JRs - team is more focused on how Apollo will continue to grow on the credit/insurance AUM side.
got an interview and didnt network. dont need to network lol.
Apollo only takes from partners’ alma maters. (Harvard, stanford, IU, etc)
Sternies have no chance
