Are certain non-engineering FAANG or F500 offers as compelling as i-banking?

This layman's most prestigious internship list is interesting (and slightly odd it's missing the likes of McKinsey, Bain and Exxon?). I've noticed a lot of friends at my top target are mulling both investment banking and FAANG internships, and some upperclassmen pivoted to pursuing FAANG after interning at BBs.
