Are professional cleaning services in Chicago worth it for busy professionals?

I’ve been swamped with work lately and barely have time to keep up with basic household chores, let alone deep cleaning. I'm starting to wonder—is it really worth hiring a professional cleaning service in Chicago or should I just power through on weekends?

I came across while searching for local options, and they seem to offer flexible scheduling and focus on both residential and commercial cleaning. Has anyone here used them or a similar service?

Would love to hear from other professionals who’ve tried outsourcing cleaning.
Was it worth the cost? Did it actually help you free up time or reduce stress?

Curious to hear your experiences—good or bad.

For me, I felt it was 100% worth it. I've been paying for once a month cleaning the last several years and it is super helpful. I keep the place tidy, but it feels more than worth it to pay someone else to come through and do an actual deep clean once a month vs. spending part of the minimal free time I have to do so. To me, it feels like I am buying back some of my time. I use an actual company (probably cheaper if you find an individual) and pay ~$180 per visit for a 2 bed / 2 bath ~1,600ft condo.

For busy professionals in Chicago, hiring a professional cleaning service can be a game-changer, especially if you're swamped with work and struggling to keep up with household chores. Based on insights from WSO discussions, outsourcing tasks like cleaning is often seen as a worthwhile investment for those with demanding schedules. Here’s why:

  1. Time Savings: When you're working long hours, the last thing you want to do on weekends is deep cleaning. Professional services can free up your time, allowing you to focus on rest, hobbies, or spending time with loved ones.

  2. Stress Reduction: A clean and organized living space can significantly reduce stress. Coming home to a tidy environment after a long day can improve your mental well-being and productivity.

  3. Cost vs. Value: While professional cleaning services come at a cost, many professionals find the trade-off worth it. The peace of mind and time saved often outweigh the expense, especially if you’re earning a high income and value your limited free time.

  4. Flexibility: Many cleaning services in Chicago offer flexible scheduling, which is ideal for professionals with unpredictable hours. You can customize the frequency and scope of cleaning based on your needs and budget.

  5. Quality of Life: Outsourcing cleaning can enhance your overall quality of life. Instead of spending your weekends scrubbing floors, you can recharge or engage in activities that bring you joy.

If you’re considering a service, look for one with good reviews, transparent pricing, and flexible options. It’s also worth trying a one-time deep clean to see if it meets your expectations before committing to a regular schedule. Many professionals on WSO have found that outsourcing tasks like cleaning is a small but impactful way to reclaim their time and reduce stress.
