Are there actually good headhunters/recruiters out there?

Fellow monkeys,

As I’m getting spammed daily by the usual garbage tier HHs (Waterstreet, Pinpoint etc.) I started to wonder if there are actually any good HHs out there that don’t waste your time (best case) or ruin the process for you at all banks because they spam inboxes with your resumes.

Layoff season is coming soon!

Anyone but Pinhead Partners. Those dudes are CLOWNS among men.

There are 4-5 reputable HHs who cover most of the PE firms that you recognize. Style is similar where they send emails to your inbox on a daily basis of new roles and opportunities. They will disclose the fund name instead of the ones you listed who keep it confidential until you get on the phone so they are more transparent but there is really no other way for them to send around opportunities besides blasting them out. Your resume isn't shared until you approve for these recruiters though so the business is professional.

I mean if he gets you the job none of this stuff I'm talking about really matters. I would still totally engage with them because there's really not much to lose by doing so, outside of maybe they sign you up for an interview you don't want (I have heard of them doing this).
