Asia BB Requirements

Does anybody know what are the language and writing requirements for an i-banking job in Asia? I am completely fluent in speaking and listening Cantonese, but not in writing.

I am currently signed up for a MS Asia IBD info session, but another info session just came up that I kind of want to go to. Of course, MS is a big name and I would like to network with them if I can. But if language requirements already disqualify me then I would rather not waste the time networking with them and go to the other info session instead.

I have no fluency whatsoever in Mandarin, just Cantonese.

You can do non-China ECM/DCM or maybe Hong Kong coverage. At most banks, Mandarin fluency is key (even for HK coverage teams...).
