Asians not diverse. why?
why are Asians not counted as diverse? they are non white and they are a minority. every other ethnicity (African American, Hispanic, Latin American etc) other than white is counted as diverse.

Because they are not underrepresented. In fact they are overrepresented (following those 'diversity' rules). That's how the system works nowadays, you are not judged by your merit but by your merit agaisnt that of those in the same 'group' as you.
Because if the system was judged fairly based on merit it would be mostly Asians and the average person apparently has a problem with that.
and white
Because Asians are hardworking, while- well you get the picture
Haha yeah feed me MS you libshits
Because LGBT privilege Biatch! My genitals and skin color gives me a godly advantage against the white man.
Because, as a group, they've done well in American society. If, within the next generation, African Americans became the most economically prosperous group in America, the diversity lobby would be telling them to check their privilege.
Diversity, as it is commonly understood today, is a bullshit concept, concocted by cultural marxists. The ppl who think that it's important are (i) losers who prefer blaming their shortcomings on an incorporeal group of racists rather than going through the significantly more useful and difficult exercise of understanding how their own actions have lead to their personal failures and bettering themselves accordingly, or (ii) ppl who view whatever they've achieved as a reproach to themselves, having necessarily been achieved at the expense of the marginalized "diverse" peoples, and feel sufficiently exculpated of their guilt (w/ the kicker of feeling unearned moral superiority) by espousing drivel about diversity. These ppl are retarded. I am glad that they are incapable of truly enjoying what they've earned/achieved, and not a single one of them would volunteer to re-distribute their own job/house/car/any other consequential possession to remedy the illusory systemic injustices they believe exist.
And its also a cultural thing.
How many Asians are in jail?
Most asians don't really give a fuck about it. The mentality is work hard , get into good undergrad or post grad , make $$$ , marry a smart man or woman and have kids. It is a simple ruthless linear path that doesn't accept excuses or failure regardless of circumstances.
To make a sweeping generalization, Asia's 20th century history is fucking brutal and has generated some tough motherfuckers who are very tough on their kids out of a fear of what they have seen happen to lazy people in their own past. In a way a lot of 2nd generation Asian-Americans are being raised basically by the equivalent of American Protestant work ethic settlers.
i'm asian and i got the shit beat out of me as a kid
Nailed it here - pretty much parental upbringing
I’m Asian (Pakistani) and I got beat the shit out of myself too by my tiger mom when growing up
Because Asians don't need it.
Apparently if you're Asian but not Chinese / Korean / Indian Asian youre still diverse
You forgot Japanese and Singaporean. Also Indians really shouldn't be lumped in with other Asians and I don't get why they are.
why shouldn’t Indians be included with other Asians? you do know India is situated in Asia right?
Well for Japanese who still speak the language, most BBs do reserve a spot for them at S&T so I personally separate them from the rest of the Asians when it comes to hiring. APeJ, right. I had not yet known a Singaporean who's hired outside of Singapore but can agree how they would not be seen as diverse.
Nothing is diverse about China/Japan/Korea. The US is not any of those places, and it should not look like any of those places, no matter how much oversupply they want to export.
I love how your wording implies the commodification of humans. It's as if people from those countries did not personally choose to come to the US on their own behalf.
Get some help.
"The US is not any of those places" -- lol go ahead and tell this to my girlfriend's ancestors who came as early as 1850s and built and preserved this country when you were absolutely not around.
I didn't realize Asians were inclined towards diversity. Asian countries are very monoethnic, despite their small minority populations. Love the hypocrisy though.
Only stupid people think cultural enrichment is for the less fair skinned. "Diversity" is saving the US, not hurting it. It has always been the case.
Agreed. Our health Care system would be even more fucked if it weren't for the Asian (mostly Indian/Paki) doctors it seems. Most doctor on the news are foreigners.
The difference is that this is a result of a meritocratic process However the diversity that OP is referring to is being unmeritocratic to ensure diversity of outcome Completely different concepts that should never be mixed
yellow asians haven't assimilated well (and sorry but you don't deserve a spot for having a 4.0 as a CS Major with no IB experience), brown dudes are usually chiller and more social
Absolutely wrong. It's hilarious how people are making these posts on anon as well lmao. Asians/Indians are very similar in the sense where a lot of them arent very social, and some of them are. In my experience, asian guys seem to be more laid back and chill, while Indians are socially awkward and just can't assimilate well for the life of them.
