Associate Internship Credit Suisse Energy Group pre-interview

Hi all,

I'll have the 1st informational with the CS Energy group in 2 days. Goal - to get me further in the process and interview for the Associate (Summer Internship).

I'm looking for tips for 2021 on how to approach the Energy group at CS? Unlike other BBs, they did a multi-school presentation, and I didn't get a chance to learn about their specifics to build on it and dig deeper in the upcoming informational.

What questions should I ask to show that I know the specifics and bridge it to "connect me to another person" ask in my "thank you" email?

Thanks!

Hey OksankaO, what a lonely thread. I'm here since nobody responded ...so maybe one of these discussions will help:

Standard stuff…maybe think of a deal and talk through general industry trends. Think of sub-sectors / verticals you’re interested in and ask about that. And make sure your story works for why Energy. Keeping it conversational and showing enough genuine interest will get you more intros.

Out of your curiosity, why are you targeting CS Houston specifically? They were the place to be a few years ago but have gotten passed by a bunch of other BBs and boutiques.

I didn't say a word about Houston. I'm interviewing for NYC and targeting renewables. Fingers crossed as my school is not very well represented in CS E&I.
