Associate WFH happiness?

Tons of threads here with some very unhappy analysts which is pretty concerning. Wondering if any first year post-MBA associates could chime in on how their life has been in the last 12 months?

Sentiment is probably the same as analysts. Hours are worse (compared to the non-virtual internship). Learning curve is worse being virtual. Camraderie is pretty non-existent since I've never met most of the other juniors in person, other than my fellow first-years and the handful of analysts / associates still at the bank from summer '19. Downtime is great since you're just sitting at home (but downtime is pretty rare these days). Probably better for my relationship being home even if I'm working all the time. Seems like the rotation of juniors between banks as we finish our first full year will be higher than usual given the dynamics.

I’ll say this: all of the 5 post mba associates in my group are noticeablely now behind the first year Analysts and don’t really even check our work anymore or answer questions on calls regarding materials from MDs and VPs. I guess that’s what happens when you ask the analyst to do the tasks you’re supposed to do because you don’t know how (salesforce, inter-group coordinating, intense modeling, checking comps, etc).
