Attrition
Obviously it’s normal to see departures following bonus season and I’m sure this year’s departures are exasperated by the pandemic and likely fueled by the hot lateral job market. But I did want to see what y’all are seeing at your firms / groups in terms of attrition. What’s considered ‘normal’?
My group had two 2nd years leave in the summer after Feb bonuses last year. This year right after bonuses hit, we've seen 10+ people leave from all different levels ranging from first years to Managing Directors - mostly analysts though.
We’re seeing the same trend in my group where majority of the departures are at the junior level. Has your group made efforts to fill those empty seats?? I know my group is hiring but there’s definitely more leaving than coming in
