Background check crimes under 16?
Does a background check for HR show any misdemeanors I was arrested for but not charged with when I was 15 or any felonys that were dropped? Do I have to disclose these things as I was not adult and that was almost 8 years ago now.
Normally they bring up felony and misdemeanor criminal convictions, any pending criminal cases, and the history of incarceration as an adult.
Arrests pending prosecution may also be reported depending on the check.. Arrests that did not lead to convictions may appear in some background checks as well.
this all is for cases as an adult, normally.
if your juvenile records have been sealed by a court, they wouldn't show up.
Some state laws do not allow disclosure of convictions after a certain amount of time has passed.
Awesome, thank you. I know they show up in Military background checks but those are probably more intense. I will probably go with not disclosing I feel like even if they come up they might understand with me being a minor.
