Background check on self

I’ve been out of banking and coming back, close to a few offers. I have an out of state misdemeanor that was dismissed. Trying to run a background check on myself to see what it shows.

1. Which are the top background check firms most big banks use? I hear HireRight, First Advantage, BIG

2. I got the interviews through my network. Even if HR flags the misdemeanor, maybe it won’t be an auto ding and we can work through it since it’s a referral? I’d rather not mention it bc it’s a DV case where I got slapped by my partner and called the cops myself…and got arrested. DV optics are not great so that’s why I’d rather have them ask first. It was also from earlier this spring so chance it doesn’t show up yet given it’s fresh. What do you think?

I had a trespassing misdemeanor that was dismissed and it didn’t showed up on the background check. You are fine if it’s dismissed. Run a self background check for a total of ~150$ through both Checkr and ClearChecks.  Also get this thing expunged asap.. they don’t automatically go away and the whole process itself could take a couple months
