Network your ass off (I feel like I should just copy and paste this response to every one of these).

You have no other options other than:

1) packing it up and looking for another career

2) Meeting with other groups and banks

If you're close with anyone in the group, ask them why you got smoked in your review and what you can do to improve. The only way you convert is by improving. Don't be annoying or clingy, just ask and try to execute.

However, you better fucking be hitting every contact you can dream of and making the most of any free time you may have (or make some free time).

Also - work that spell check, these kinds of simple mistakes don't bode well.

The deal and pitch experience you got is still valuable, and you should be able to lateral easily for FT. Make sure to leave on a good note with all your coworkers, return or no return. That means putting forth your best effort for the rest of the internship while you get your contingency plan in place and continue networking.

Update your resume and cover letter ASAP presenting your experience at your EB in the best light possible. You should have these documents ready to fire by the end of July at the latest. Refresh your technical and interview prep from SA recruiting, and most importantly have a *very* strong understanding of the projects you worked on and the skills you built during SA

Apply to FT IB openings as they get posted throughout August to October, and have your story down pat for why you're recruiting, e.g. despite working on interesting projects with a great team at EB it wasn't a good cultural fit for x reason, and so you're interested in this bank and city specifically for y reason.

Since you already have a brand-name IB internship, you will get grilled on your prior SA experience. As long as you prepare, you will be a top candidate and might even land in a better place overall for you!
