Bank of America vs Citi vs Credit Suisse in London

Hi monkeys,

could you give as some insights on these banks? Obviously they are behind GS/MS/(JPM), but how would you rank them in terms of prestige for exits options in general? Any ranking to enter MF PE in London? Or am I dreaming?

I understand that general consensus is BoFA > Citi. You monkeys confirm? Where does CS end up in the equitation?

What would be the top groups for each bank?

The topic has been discussed earlier, but wanted to get a Novmeber 2021 update.

Happy to hear you even to the topic. Ciao.

Probably worth mentioning that the team takes more SA than they can hire for FT, so the interns have to battle it out between them. The levfin guys are definitely nicer. Sponsors also has higher turnover than levfin. If your interests are levfin/sponsors I'd pick BofA or CS; Citi has a pretty good financing business overall but much better on the equities and IG side. If you do pick CS you'd have to pick 4 preferences and assuming 90% of people (or more) put levfin/sponsors for their top 2, your chances of interning with those teams isn't great. Just worth mentioning. On top of this you have overall conversion rates (BofA and Citi are pretty high, Citi to the extent that they have more an1s than they need), pay (BofA wins here again) and analyst programme length (2 vs 3 years).
