Banker Sports?
Just wondering which sports do you tend to find are common to play amongst i-bankers? Interested in all levels of seniority, like I know senior bankers typically play golf.

Yes, because I-bankers only play certain sports by some genetic trait. Specifically, they are only allowed to participate in crew, lacrosse, squash, and yachting. The most blue-blooded of all sports only.
you forgot polo
Yes, how could I be so stupid?
Also, I believe he wanted it broken down by job title also.

Sports on wall street (Originally Posted: 03/14/2011)
I am a first year at a boutique where I have slightly more free time than others. I am trying to figure out which sport I should spend time getting better at: squash, tennis or golf. Which one is most popular/helpful on the street? I'm leaning towards squash, however I've never played so I would need to get lessons.
Dude you should stop trying to fit into what people do on the street. Do whatever sports that suit you well, and you enjoy doing the most.
Golf for sure.
I'm goin with LeBron on this one -- can't go wrong.
Can't agree- as someone who played golf religiously throughout my life (scratch handicap in my prime) there is no way you will be able to be half-way decent at the game. Even going out for a friendly match will be very tough for a few years until you've gained the fundamental skills required to pure the ball.
Squash...Picked it up in college and love the game to death. It's also pretty easy to get good enough to be competitive and not look like an idiot.
There's this new sport called "spine-growing." You should try it. I hear it's life-changing.
Take squash lessons at the Yale Club.
this is sad beyond belief. Are people so keen that they even run their hobbies according to whats career progressive?
Exit ops for the win.
Tennis is hard. My second serve still sucks...
Squash. That's the only one you will be able to get even decently proficient at in a short period of time assuming you are a little bit athletic.
Thanks. I currently play golf and tennis, but both are tough in manhattan, in terms of convenience/time, when you don't have a car.
Squash, tennis, and golf are all great sports
Assuming you're in NYC, cyclIng. Nothing better than doing 100 laps in the Park (Central Park) while showing off your $20,000 Pinarello
bankers, junior bankers at least, don't have time to play sports or do shit for that matter.

I do amateur cage fighting. That being said, troll
Does shopping the Ralph Lauren Winter Catalog count as a sport? How about making it rain?
Soccer
I ride a bicycle, but I'm not in NY.
And, of course, Buzkashi.
