Banks that recruit late MBA

Current first-year at a t-20 mba program, recruiting for IB. Seems like a lot of banks recruited early this year. Are there any banks that recruit later in the year? I do not have a location preference. I appreciate the help.

It all depends on whether your program is core or non-core at a bank. Non-core recruiting happens very early. Generally those processes wrap by or shortly after the new year.

If your program is considered non-core at a given bank, it’s likely that your window of opportunity is closing rapidly.

If your school is considered core those timelines are school specific. It’s best to check with second years or your career center to get an idea of those timelines.

Caveat: my comments apply really to the bulge brackets / well regarded boutiques and MM firms that have formal recruiting processes. It may be possible to get in the game for off the run smaller shops.

Banks didn't recruit any earlier this year than prior years. Sorry to say but you're just way way way too late in the game. You may get lucky and see some satellite office spots pop up and you can still network your way into boutiques but for most of BB/EB/MM, they have a clear idea of who's been recruiting, who they like and who's interested that they will draw on for first round interviews (I believe most schools have already had first round interview invites at this point too).
