Yes, the standard advice is wait til it hits your account. In my group, the bonus is verbally communicated so they can just tell payroll to skip paying yours if you leave early. The bonus amount eventually goes in your compensation profile, but that’s later after the fact.

Practically speaking, you can coast the last two months before that magical first week of March. Bonuses are set by management in late December and early January, so you can start turning down staffings, chilling on calls, being less proactive, etc probably mid-January at the latest. They can adjust it during that time period, but only if you’re egregious about it before an obvious exit. If you time it right though and your staffings line up well, you can even start the phase out process before Christmas
