BB Corporate Strategy to IBD

I just graduated from university in Taiwan this year and am a temp analyst in the front desk of a top3 asset management company currently (for 6 months). My job includes macro analysis and button-up analysis of fixed income securities. And my internship includes a renewable PE and equity research in local buy-side, where I learned due diligence and financial modeling.

Currently, I receive an interview opportunity in MS, but the job role is corporate strategy. My goal in next 5 years is to become an IBD analyst in BB. I knew corporate strategy is more like a "middle class" in BB. However, the job description said the role include market research and there will be a excel modeling test as well. So I wonder whether this is more like desk strategist. No matter which the role is, does anyone has any opinion about transition from the strategist role to IBD. Or any suggestion for me to move to an IBD career? Many thanks.
