BDC or Corporate Banking?
Just wanted some insight about two offers I have for Summer 2022. I have an offer for corporate banking at a super-regional bank and an analyst role at a small BDC. Both positions are in Texas. My eventual goal would be to end up in IB or CB at a BB, and am not sure which of these would set me up better. The BDC has very strong deal flow and is paying far more (~$42/hr given 40 hr work week compared to $25/hr). The bank has a bigger name though, which might be helpful for my resume?
A little lost so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

You're welcome.
Gonna bump this because my offer deadline is soon, any insight would be helpful!

I would think the BDC would be far more interesting. You could get some buyside exposure and real deal flow, which would help in interviews. Plus, the BDC guys likely have banking relationships, so if you don't suck you can probably ask for help.
