Become an Entrepreneur through Acquisition
Has anyone ever thought abt acquiring a small business using the SBA to finance the costs. You can hire a GM who is in charge of running the day to day. You can pay yourself a salary (probs more than what you make as a first year), build an asset that cash flows, and provides you flexibility to focus on other projects that have the potential to yield cash flow. I guess this is similar to a search fund. Has anyone thought of leaving IB/PE and doing this on your own dime. Building different income streams is where true money is made not relying on your employer with a consistent paycheck and predictable bonus.
