Best banker credit cards
Hey all -
I’ve been building my credit on a basic student credit card with 1% cash back on all purchases and 5% for select transactions that vary from month to month. I’m gonna be starting FT in NYC and was wondering what credit cards make the most sense as an AN1 to get the most benefit/rewards.
I’ve heard the AMEX gold is great because of the benefits for dining out/groceries but would appreciate any perspective on what you guys find most rewarding and use on a day to day basis
Probably Amex Gold/Platinum or Chase Sapphire Preferred/Reserve
Oddly enough, Amazon card issued by chase is also not bad if you buy from amazon and wholefoods a lot
Most correct answer
What’s the main benefit for chase sapphire over Amex gold in your opinion
Two entirely different point and benefit ecosystems. I fly southwest mainly so chase is better for me travel wise. I only keep my Amex for as long as they keep giving me fee credits every year.
Amex plat works best when you can travel a lot. If you expect to be at your desk for most of the year, it may not be as worth as other credit cards
