Best Banks for A2A?
Incoming SA26 and have spent some time realizing I want to pursue IB beyond the analyst years. I'm curious which banks tend to promote internally more than rely on MBA associates - more specifically BB & EBs

bump
Cant speak for other banks too well but RBC is great, 2Y AN to ASSO conversion and heavy emphasis on retaining and growing talent within the firm
Inaccurate with most current An2’s across all groups not getting the nod
false, RBC is moving towards a 3 year analyst program as indicated by hr
Jpm, except for FSG which is heavy 2 and out
Lots of A2As at JPM sponsors. It's actaully the only coverage group that really doesn't recurit at the MBA level.
No idea why you think it's up or out.
Centerview, Raymond James, PJT, William Blair
BofA
BofA barely pays their associates
A2A a joke because associates get paid like analysts
Bro ur an incoming intern and u already think u want to stay? Just wait til ur actually on the desk you’ll prob change ur mind
Everybody wants to be a career banker until they spend a couple full-time months on the job.
I’ll see you in off cycle recruiting, kid.
Most Canadian banks, especially regional offices
Any EB, you better get paid if you stay as an associate in IB. Everyone who says otherwise is BSing or got dinged by top EBs
gugg?
Not UBS.
You get underpaid as an analyst and aso and HR is moving towards 3 year analyst program
Deutsche
Q, there's a reason why most analyst don't exit
Best bank for getting the A2A promote? UBS. Everyone with a pulse that wants to stay get's the A2A because nobody wants to stay. Worst bank for a long-term career in banking? UBS. There is no deal flow, so good luck lateraling. All the good analysts at UBS either leave to the buyside or another bank, the only ones left to be A2A's are those that can't.
The only analysts who go A2A nowadays at ubs are legitimately retarded
