I know that M&A is one of the top groups at Citi, but I'm not too interested in joining it. What are the top industry groups at Citi, what is the culture of the top groups, and how is the potential for PE recruiting out of each?

Industrials & Consumer are strong at Citi. Decent PE exits as well.

Industrial is too big to define with one culture. There are several verticals within Industrials, each of which have their own sub-cultures. Consumer I heard is pretty fratty from speaking with a summer associate who had worked there last summer.

Heard sponsors and FIG usually does separate recruiting, but are decent - not the best.
