Best questions to ask senior bankers
I have a phone call scheduled with a VP of a top group (GS/JPM/MS) and would appreciate advice regarding what I should tailor the conversation towards and if there are any questions that would be smart to ask and set me apart
A decent question that you can ask any banker is "Could you tell me about your favorite transaction you have worked on?" People like talking about themselves, preferably in a positive light. Ask questions that you think will lead to a positive answer.
Another decent one is asking "What are the common traits you have seen in successful interns / analysts"
