Currently I'm a first year Associate (A->A) but moved geographically.
Currently at a smaller boutique and wondering the best timing is for Associates to move up-market, specifically targeting an EB.

It's quite difficult to do a boutique to EB move. I know a lot of people who have moved up from a boutique but typically they went from a boutique to a MM first. A few even went boutique to MM to BB/EB. That being said it's not the best timing as coronavirus has disrupted recruiting as well as IB activity.
