Best ways to get informal internship?
Currently a freshman trying to get a summer internship by emailing people at boutiques with low headcounts. I was wondering a few things on how to approach this:
Should I be contacting people and outright asking about internships? Or still go through the process of chatting analysts first. And if so, should I include in my emails I'm okay with unpaid to increase my chances?
Should I include something like a stock pitch in my emails? Or could that come off too hardo or risk sending the email to spam.
Could cold calling be a viable way to differentiate myself from others?
I would greatly appreciate any thoughts on these questions.
Have your dad ask one of his friends.

Low-key emailed over 50 search funds and local boutiques, and got lucky with a follow-up from a search fund. The name of the game is to be persistent and always send follow-up emails
