Valuation at a Big 4 is generally slower paced than banking mostly because of the type of work you’re doing. A lot of engagements are tied to financial reporting, tax work, and purchase price allocations for M&A. Timelines are more predictable and less deal driven. The core work is heavy on DCFs and comps using the income and market approaches.

You still get solid exposure though, everything from smaller private companies to port cos and even some of the largest M&A deals in a given year. Exit opportunities are pretty flexible. People move into banking, PE or credit valuation, corporate development, strategy, or broader finance and management roles. It’s a good spot if you want strong fundamentals and optionality.
