BlackArch Partners FT 2022

Hey everyone, this is a bit early - but everything seemingly is in IB. Anyone have info on prior BlackArch Partners' recruitment process (especially on any technical/modeling tests)? I talked with an analyst, but got relatively vague answers. I do know that recruitment begins in August.

Also, heard it has the rep as a sweat shop. Can anyone put a number or range for reference? Seems like a great place to be in the South for PE, but it's definitely not worth it to me if I average 100 hours every week.

Phone screen 1st round -> super day -> offer

Didn't make it past the 1st round. Felt it was very easy but so did everyone I know who has interviewed there. Basic LBO, DCF, etc. questions. I think they have a particular type of person to fit their culture and if it's not you, then it's out of your control. I would guess ideally they are looking for people with Charlotte ties.

Their process at my school was: Resume Drop -> 1st Round w/ Analyst -> Meet & Greet -> 2nd Round w/2 Employees -> Superday. I didn’t get the SD but had a good experience before that.

They’re a productive shop with smart people and strong deal flow. Note - last I checked every single investment banker there from Analyst to Leadership was white except for one. I’m sure it’s a coincidence.
