BNP vs. Top boutique
anyone know how BNP compares to other BB's. Obviously not like a Goldman or JPM but in terms of reputation, deal flow, comp. I have a super day coming up but also a lot of interest from a top boutique. If BNP throws an offer out before the smaller firm should I take it for the name? Is the name even that good?
lmao
What do you consider a top boutique?
location?
Blackstone>>>BNP>Greenhill>>>>>>>>Evercore>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Piper Jaffray>>Lazard>>>>>Moelis
Woah woah woah... Greenhill before Evercore?
They recently brought in some BNP MDs, so I moved them up a bit.
BNP Paribas is pretty small in the US but obviously huge globally. I only know their FIG team which is tiny and has limited exit ops.
WSO universe.
For what it's worth, I've heard BNP has quite a particular culture.....
BNP isn't a BB. Other than DCM they're a pretty weak performer. You need to be more specific on the boutique.
What calibre boutique? BNP does not really have much of an M&A U.S. presence at this point and has very limited exit opps in the States. It is not even close to being considered a BB in the States. Even a decent boutique with legitimate deal flow would be a better placement, in terms of easier transition to BB and MM PE and a better experience.
How is this even a question?
You're human garbage bro
