Laughable.
do you read the papers? BoA was never good in securities and now its banking unit messed up terribly this last quarter. BoA CEO was quoted saying something to the effect that BoA would finally retreat from the investment banking world.
So BoA investment bankig has always been shitty and now they're barely even there.

Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank and UBS are largely the non-U.S. investment banks that are "bulges."

UBS and Deutsche Bank? BBs...heh thats debatable
Credit Suisse in its glory days sure...now its merely a shell of its former self...clinging to "BB status" for dear life...
To Devil's Advocate: Surely just overlooked Bear Stearns when you made that comment because there is no way they are a BB if you don't consider the European banks BBs.
i agree. its laughable to put bear stearns in the same cluster as every other banks listed above.
