BofA Sophomore IBD is 2 summers?

Just got my offer for BofA sophomore summer IBD and I’m ecstatic but a little worried at the same time. The contract says that the offer expectations is that you intern for 2024 summer AND 2025 summer. Does this mean it’s binding? What if I decide I don’t like banking or BofA? Am I allowed to rerecruit for junior year during recruiting season? If anyone has any insight that would be a huge help. Thanks a ton!

congrats on the offer. I think you know the answer to your first question lmao. I don't know how much they care if you don't go through with it, but there probably could be consequences if they found out. idk how severe, but I don't think its that deep. People reneg from their SA stint bank.

Same position couple years ago. Went into soph internship there with junior offer already accepted. Did well, kindly turned down offer end of summer, let them know details week or so after that. No repercussions, kept in touch with team, on good terms.

Some may be unhappy, but anyone who ever truly cared about you will understand. You're going to be fine!

Will banks ask why you’re re recruiting before even stepping foot at BofA? Kind of worried that I’ll be asked that.
