Boot Camp/Public Training Seminars over winter break?

Hey guys,

I'm looking to enroll in a Wall Street training program over winter break. "Wall Street Prep" has a course that may work for me. Does anyone know anything about them? If not, any suggestions? I'm interested in anything involving I-Banking or trading that would look good on a resume and that would be beneficial for my own understanding of finance.

Thanks for the help.

if you are a college senior, it will do you no good. Most banks finished their hiring, so it won't help you to have it on your resume.

If you are a junior looking for an internship, its definetly worth it, to set yourelf apart from the rest

Disclaimer: The post above has been made by someone who is not currently employed in IBD, and has not had an interview yet...

Could anyone tell me the difference between these two services? In addition to qualitative comments ranking one vs the other (i.e. one is better/easier/more fun, etc) it would be good to know content/programatic differences as well (i.e. this one focuses more on leveraged transactions or private equity transactions or this one has better support services or this one is shorter...etc.).

If anyone knows of a better service that would also be helpful.

Thanks in advance for any info.

I received a complimentary subscription to Dealmaven (Level I) and would recommend it, with hesitation. Essentially the knowledge base is an e-textbook which covers various corporate finance topics. (you can get the same content + more on damodaran's site or elsewhere)

Aside from the content, DM also guides you on how to construct a model, from scratch. Once complete, DM staff will check it and provide you with feedback.

I took two of the Wall Street Prep courses last spring at my college, and then a third this fall. All the the courses are excellently taught by a former JP Morgan I-banker/recruiter. They offer a ton of insight into what you actually do as an i-banker and the questions that are asked in interviews. I would highly recommend this course for anyone interested in i-banking.
